Welcome Everyone...

Many people will already be aware that I have my own personal Wordpress Blog at davidfarrant.org called The Human Touch which serves essentially as a ‘diary of my daily life’ on a personal basis.  This has been up and running since August 2007 and presently has an average of 220 hits a day.  Because of its nature as a personal diary,  I have tended to omit detailed descriptions of ongoing investigations into ‘ghosts’ and other unexplained phenomena by the British Psychic and Occult Society (BPOS) from my writings on the other Blog, but an ongoing interest by many people into Society investigations -  not least, in the infamous Highgate ‘vampire’ case to which I was central in the late 1960s/early 1970s - persuaded me to begin another Blog here for this purpose.

I begin here with some abridged chapters from my best-selling book “Beyond the Highgate Vampire”, which, I think, gives an adequate account of that case and a few of the witnesses who laid claim at the time to having witnessed this mysterious phenomenon in and around Highgate Cemetery.

Of course, these events are now just a part of history . . . or are they?  The reported entity seen there has again been reported in more recent times, and I shall later be covering these local reports which seem to confirm that the ghostly figure (described rather ridiculously by some as a ‘vampire’!)  is still active.

  1. David, I'm hoping that your "Friends" blog will not contain any rubbishy oil paintings or swooning Victorian poetry or people's home addresses as is the custom on The Other Fellow's "Friends" blog. However I believe The Other Fellow does not actually have any real Friends, so there is a big difference already!

  2. Hi, what a great idea for a blog, there is obviously a large part of the B.O.S history that has been obscured by the whole Highgate Vampire thing so it'll be very interesting to see these case files come to light as it were.
I for one will be paying very close attention,
    Long may it prosper!
I'll give you a buzz in the next day or two to arrange visits etc....
    Speak soon... Jamie

  3. Good stuff guys. I follow David's personal blog earnestly so a blog that focuses on the BPOS is most welcome. Bravo!
